Nepal Electricity Authority and Himal Power Limited entered into a Power Purchase Agreement concerning Khimti on January 15, 1996 (Magh 01 2052) for a twenty years period commencing on the above date and ending on the date which is the twentieth anniversary of the Commercial Operation Date or July 11, 2000 (Asadh 27, 2057). After the expiration of the PPA period, HPL shall arrange for the transfer to NEA of a fifty percent (50%) ownership interest for a nominal consideration of one (1) Rupee.
