Government of Nepal (GoN) has issued a fifty (50) years Project License that gives HPL the right of uninterrupted flow of the water of the Khimti River to the Project. At the end of the fifty years period of the Project License, HPL shall transfer the Project free of charge to GoN. The Government of Nepal and Himal Power Limited entered into a Project Agreement concerning Khimti I Hydropower Project on January 15, 1996 (Magh 01 2052)
